SOKRIT CHARITY FOUNDATION
Venue: LEA Primary School, Mahuta, Kaduna State
Date: May 30th, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM
1. Arrival and Registration
The outreach team arrived at LEA Primary School, Mahuta at exactly 9:00 AM. Upon arrival, pupils were registered as they came in. Arrangements were made, including setting up the distribution table for the bags and organizing the space for the event.
2. Opening Session
The event commenced at 10:00 AM with an opening prayer led by the Head Teacher of the school, followed by the recitation of the National Anthem.
An introductory speech and overview of the Sokrit Charity Foundation (SCF) was presented by Mr. John Farms, who highlighted the foundation's mission, objectives, and previous community engagements.
3. Keynote Session
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Leonard, on the topic:
"IMPACTING MY WORLD AND BUILDING MY NATION"
The session was engaging and interactive, encouraging pupils to ask questions and share their thoughts. The children actively participated and expressed enthusiasm about playing positive roles in their communities and future careers.
4. Health Education Talk
Miss Queen Aminu took the stage next and spoke on Personal Hygiene. She demonstrated proper hygiene practices, emphasizing body cleanliness and the importance of maintaining neat school uniforms. Her session was practical and well-received by the pupils.
5. Competitions and Games
A Spelling Bee Competition was organized for Primary 6 pupils.
Shantel David emerged as the winner, receiving the highest cash prize.
The first and second runners-up received some cash prize.
Outdoor games followed, involving pupils from Primary 1 to 5.
Five pupils emerged as winners, each receiving some cash prize.
6. Gifts and Appreciations
A wrapper gift was presented to the Head Teacher, who expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the school and the pupils.
Teachers were served drinks and snacks, and four teachers received some cash support for their transportation.
7. Bag Distribution
A total of 82 school bags were distributed to the pupils.
8. Closing Notes
The outreach was a resounding success. The pupils had a fun-filled, educational, and impactful experience. Several children came forward to express their appreciation to Sokrit Charity Foundation for the generous support and memorable Children's Day celebration.
