SOKRIT CHARITY FOUNDATION TOURNAMENT REPORT

Date: 17th August, 2024.

Venue: Standard Foundation Stadium Barnawa Kaduna.

EVENT SUMMARY

The Sokrit Charity Foundation tournament was a resounding success, promoting sportsmanship, humanity, and social awareness. Team Kamazo emerged victorious, defeating Team Narayi with 12 goals to 11.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

a- Best Player Award: Mr. Attah Robert Oboyi. He was given a token and a placard for BEST PLAYER of the tournament.

b- Certificate of Participation: Issued to all players and some officials.

c- Winner's Cheque: Presented to Team Kamazo by Mr. Zacks Sulle an ardent believer in SCF.

d- Runner-up Cheque: Presented to Team Narayi by Mr. Oluwaseun Leonard a team member of SCF.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

a- DJ No Limit's entertainment and celebratory dance.

b- Talks on:

- Drug Abuse by Mr. Sam Dina

- Mental Health by Mr. David Okaja

c- Excellent MCing by Mr. Chris Cornerstone.

d- Impartial officiating by Mr. Caleb Baba.

PLAYER AND COACH BENEFIT

We ensured an equal share of prize money for players and coaches at the stadium.

HOSPITALITY

Food served, with some players enjoying second helpings from Chef Sally and her crew who helped in serving the food and drinks.

MEDIA COVERAGE

Extensive video and photo coverage by cameramen.

CONCLUSION

The Sokrit Charity Foundation tournament was a triumph, promoting unity, awareness, and sportsmanship. We appreciate the support of our founder, team leads, team members, guests, players, and officials.

We had a hitch free event, except for the generating plant that did not start on time, but was later fixed to power the DJ's equipment.

RECOMMENDATIONS

1- From the encounter we have with this tournament, I will recommend that we continue to promote social awareness through sports in the future.

2- Encourage participation of teenagers, women and the aged in future events of Sokrit Charity Foundation.

3. I will also recommend that we have an football academy in the future to nurture young people who have the gift of playing football.
